Terms of Service

The agreement between you and SME360.

Last updated 6 September 2026 · SME360, Lagos, Nigeria

The short version. Your records belong to you. The assistant is a helper, not an accountant or a lawyer — check what it writes before you save it. Don't use SME360 to break the law. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we can't promise perfection, and what you can claim from us is limited.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using SME360, you agree to these terms. If you are using it for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept them on its behalf. If you do not agree, don't use the service.

2. What SME360 is

SME360 is a record-keeping tool for small businesses: recording money in and out, issuing invoices and receipts, tracking who owes you, storing documents, and an AI assistant that can do those things from plain language, in the app or on WhatsApp.

3. Your account

4. The assistant is a helper, not an adviser

The assistant is built on AI. It is genuinely useful and it is sometimes wrong. It can mis-read an amount, pick the wrong customer, or misunderstand what you meant.

5. Your content is yours

You keep ownership of everything you put into SME360. You give us permission to store and process it only so far as is needed to run the service for you — including sending what you type to our AI provider to produce a reply. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

You can ask for a copy of your records, or ask us to delete them, at any time.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use SME360 to:

We may suspend an account that does these things.

7. Availability

We work to keep SME360 running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. We may change, pause or withdraw features. If we make a significant change or shut something down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get your records out.

8. Price

Where SME360 is offered free of charge, it is provided as-is and we may change that in future. We will always tell you clearly before any part of your account starts costing money, and you will be able to decline.

9. What we are not liable for

To the extent the law allows:

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Ending it

You can stop using SME360 and ask us to delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to. Sections 5, 9 and 11 survive the end of this agreement.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, if the change is significant, tell you in the app. Continuing to use SME360 after that means you accept the new terms.
